#requestaverse Day 1
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11
By far the most requested verse this week was Jeremiah 29:11…and with good cause! This verse is an anchor for many. It reveals the truth of God's heart for every one of us. There's a misconception in society that God is waiting on the edge of His seat to judge people for their sin. This couldn't be further from the truth as His real motivation is to set people free from their sin. Sin is an inherited disease that affects each one of us. It limits our potential and pulls us off track from our true purpose and destiny in God. It has a controlling and consuming nature and it's ultimate future for us is demise. Not one of us would judge and condemn a person diagnosed with cancer. In fact our heart of compassion would desire to see them healed from that horrific disease! So it is and more so with sin. It's our responsibility, as followers of Jesus, to show the world that God doesn't want to judge them…He wants to see people released into their real and true future! One free of the destructive force of sin. If salvation comes by repentance then repentance comes through the kindness and goodness of God…which is revealed through us! You have the power working within you to show people that God's plans for them are for good and not evil…to give them a future and a hope! Go and change your world today…we love and believe in you!
