One of the beautiful things about finding your destiny in Christ is that you have a definite and deliberate purpose. You were born for such a time as this. You were, and are created by the Creator to live for your creative existence. Through relationship with Him – prayer, the word and fellowship with the Holy Spirit – God reveals the purpose for your life, the reason He created you. The key is staying intimate with Him so that you can stay intimate with your calling. Jesus knew His Father very well. So well, in fact, that even in the face of death He could say “not my will but Yours be done…” That's a challenge for us all as the sin nature wants us to constantly focus on our own problems. The issue with that is your problems are often wrapped up in your flesh and earthly comfort…but you weren't created for earthly comfort but for eternal purpose! Now I'm not saying God hates you having earthly comfort, not at all…but it can be a distraction from why you are here, who's in control and where you are going! That's why fasting is so beneficial – it shifts our focus from the primal & fleshly desires (get food, get safety, pro-create, defend yourself) and onto the Provider of those needs! When you know your purpose – your highest calling – for this life then not even the threat of death will take you off course. Will it be scary? Yes! Sometimes it will be but there's no other option…living any other way is completely unsatisfying. Be challenged today to get intimate with the Father and the calling that is on your life. It will revolutionise your sense of joy and peace. We love you friends and feel privileged to be part of your journey…blessings…
