In Acts 15, Judas and Silas, were sent to the Church in Antioch to minister with Barnabas and Saul. In Verse 32 it says “Then Judas and Silas, both being prophets, spoke at length to the believers, encouraging and strengthening their faith.” Sounds like a simple verse, but I love the fact that it focuses on strengthening and encouraging people in their faith. Silas and Judas must have spent some time, outside of what was probably expected of them in a ministery capacity, meeting the people, spending time with them, and then speaking life and encouragement into them. Simple thought today – let your conversations be ones that strengthen and encourage faith into the hearts and lives of those around you. So much of our ‘speak' is wasted on negativity, unnecessary criticism, judgement, gossip… the list goes. Use your words and the time you have with others to deliberately and intentionally build them up. Be someone who leaves people feeling ten feet tall and like they could win the world. If you need that yourself, if you need encouragement and strengthening, get yourself around someone who will speak life… challenge those negative thoughts and encourage your faith. Just step out and do it – we know you can. Love you guys – you are awesome, divine and totally here for ‘such a time as this'. xo
