God has the power to provide you with more than enough of every kind of grace. 2 Cor 9:8 (CEB)
GRACE – PART 2
The cycle of sin-nature goes:
Sin >> Hurt >> Sin >> Hurt >> Sin >> Hurt… and so on and so forth.
Enter the forgiveness of God (grace) to disrupt this downward cycle in us personally, and empower us to love relentlessly and without condition, the same way that was demonstrated to us in our own brokenness.
Sin (state of being) does not mean that someone is fundamentally bad and unworthy of love, it makes them broken. And in our high-speed, microwave dinner, instantly downloadable and disposable culture it’s much easier to toss something away than take the time to fix it when it is broken.
But that’s treating people like they are things… and they are not. Broken people take time to heal; they need investment to be restored and only relationship can repair them.
First relationship with you. If you love without measure, in a crazy, radical, Jesus-like kind of way, then they will experience and sense something supernatural; something not-of-this-world. A state of being unfamiliar but contagiously attractive – something quite different to the nature of every other human they’ve interacted with. You’re able to forgive and love and tolerate their own state of being unlike anyone they’ve known.
Grace (the one you were empowered with) interrupts their state of being – the cycle that perpetuates through all their family and friendship relationships and changes something in them.
Not their behaviour… yet. That will come as they are drawn into a divine relationship… even then it won’t be perfect. Perfection is for the life after this one. (PS If we can’t be perfect in this lifetime how can we expect other’s to be? That’s a topic for another day!)
God can and will provide you with more than enough of every kind of grace. For starters, He’s already displayed that part of His nature to the world. You’ve seen it and felt it and it interrupted a vicious cycle occurring in you.
Now it’s time for others to see it through you.
There’s more than enough of every kind of grace to be displayed through you.
