And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. (Hebrews 10:25)

I remember when I was a kid, probably about 10, playing a game in the backyard of a friends party. We all laid down on the grass, each with our heads on the next person's belly. The first person began to laugh and soon it spread through the connected chain of kids. Before long we were all in uncontrollable laughter, all because we were connected to and infected by the initial person laughing!

It's vitally important that you stay connected to the body. It's where you get spiritually and emotionally encouraged.

There's a temptation to shy away from the body when stuff hasn't gone so well. It then perpetuates and gets awkward, making it harder and harder to reconnect.

“If I go back now, everyone will be wondering where I was and why I was away so long…” the dialogue reads in our heads.

I challenge you to press firmly against that thinking and get re-connected! Whatever fears you've had will be alleviated once you feel the encouragement that comes from being connected.

Being connected isn't all roses either! It comes with the challenge of messy life. Some will rub you up the wrong way and guess what? You may even rub others up the wrong way!

This is right where God can teach us to be patient and humble (Fruit of the Spirit). This is where God can teach us to love, no matter what…just like He does!

The benefits always far outweigh the challenges though. Being connected means you have a support network…a family outside of your own family. A network to build and share and learn and laugh and grow together in.

It's the way God designed us to live…in relationship! Don't forsake or neglect it. If you've stopped going or have never been to Church, I'm challenging you to get there. It will set you up to live strong and blessed! Have an incredible day 🙂
