“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” – Phil 4:6

Worry and prayer are two forces on separate ends of the spectrum. Prayer suggests the trust in, and need for a higher power. Worry suggests that our fate lies within our own strength. Worry steals joy, kills peace and destroys hope. Looking at it like this, you quickly realise it to be a device to divide us from the life that Jesus intended us to live in. Verse 7 goes on to say that when we pray instead of worry, we'll experience a “peace that surpasses all understanding”. Raise your hand up if you want that? It's not an external peace, where its smooth sailing all the time, but an internal peace that despite the outward environment, it generates a powerful force that stills the body, mind and soul. I often say that internal peace is portable….you can take it into any situation BUT external peace will only remain in the environment it was created in. Go into another room, relationship, or situation and the balance changes. The biggest reason people worry is out of an un-guarded habit; subconsciously responding from a learned pattern. Our challenge for you today is to become acutely aware of and refocus your worry to prayer. As you do this a well-spring of peace will bubble up inside you, and you'll start walking in God's perfect plan for your life! Love you guys heaps. Have an AWESOME day 🙂
