All the stars in the sky will be dissolved and the heavens rolled up like a scroll; all the starry host will fall like withered leaves from the vine, like shriveled figs from the fig tree. (Isaiah 34:4 NIV)
This passage reflects the vastness, the ultimate power and authority of God. It reveals His bigness and our smallness. It's really healthy for us to realise that in our day-to-day goings on, we are quite small, relative to eternity and the Everlasting Father. Ecclesiastes says that God set eternity in our hearts; we are designed for eternal living and things. The BIble also says this life is “but a vapour” meaning that it's a flash in comparison to the life we experience after this one. Our flesh, the sin-nature we've all inherited, wants to small-down our lives even further. When someone cuts us off in traffic, anger, frustration, and vengeance rise up in our hearts….but this life is ‘but a vapour'. When someone takes our favourite seat in Church, remember ‘this life is but a vapour'. When the waiter mixes up your lunch order, you catch someone gossiping about you, another person gets the opportunity you've always wanted, your brother eats your piece of cake, remember God has set eternity in your heart. You're about to embark on a trillion moments, maybe a billion trillion, that will more than compensate for any loss you experience in this lifetime…which is but a vapour! Perspective will always change your attitude. It just depends on which direction your perspective goes as to how it affects it. Smaller or bigger. You are designed for the bigger, so take it on today…you guys are the best and have the best days still waiting for you! Much love…

Thank you! I’ve been reading these every morning for the past month, and wow! What a difference a little reading and reflection can do in the morning before the day takes over. These are short enough to read EVERY morning, and always filled with love and insight. Keep it up:)
Thanks for the encouragement! We’re planning to keep it up. Have the BEST day!
