MARVELOUS
Whether you’re making resolutions or not, whatever you do or do not do this year, none of it will make you any more or any less valuable.
Same went for 2017.
Perhaps, like the Psalmist, you need to develop the practice of believing this:
“Body and soul, I am marvelously made.” (Ps 139:14 TPT.)
I doesn’t matter one little bit in the scope of love and worthiness whether you achieved what you set out to, or whether you failed epically, or whether you sank back into mediocrity.
Your value has already been determined. And nothing that you do, or do not do, can change that. It’s fixed, set in stone, immovable, consistent even in our inconsistencies.
So don’t set goals and make plans to try and make yourself more valuable to the world and those around you. Or even yourself.
Perhaps the best thing for you to do right now is stay the same long enough for you to fully see and fully know your worth. It’s OK if you don’t join the gym, read more books, clean up your language, learn to cook. It’s OK if the most significant resolution you can come up with is to show up to your life in all the glorious, messy, beauty that it is. In fact, there is nothing more powerful than taking the time to discover the love that is already yours, and the miracle that you already are before you achieve one single thing.
