“Be” Series – Part 10 – Be Transformed
Every Christian needs to know and live fully under this verse. How you think is the passage way to your heart, and if your house is anything like ours, the passage way gets cluttered and blocked by “stuff” pretty regularly. So does the passage way to our heart. It gets all block up by wrong (unlike God) and mis-guided thinking. That’s why we have to renew it. The word ‘renew’ implies that it’s been new before… kinda like our passage way that gets cluttered! There’s no shame in having to clean things up again, it’s just part of life. In fact we should get in the habit of letting our thought life be continually checked and renewed by Him.
With cluttered and corrupt (broken) thinking patterns we can’t test and approve whether we’re walking in God’s will… cos the measuring stick (our thinking) is out of alignment. But when we’re thinking like God thinks about us, we can quickly and clearly determine the next move and the direction we’re heading. What thoughts are you dwelling on today? Are they God-approved or do they need some renewing? If you really want to live within the purpose He has for you BE TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your thought life and thinking patterns.
