“…Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” – Eph 6:10

We often talk about how we are all connected, I think as societies and communities, we'd like to believe it, but the proof of belief is action. Truly knowing that we are connected is treating each other with respect and value no matter what colour or creed, whether you're tall or skinny, a child or parent, a friend or stranger…heterosexual or homosexual (that can be a big deal for some!!!) When it all boils down, to respect and value a person is to give honour to God. “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’ (Matt 25:40 NLT) Getting to this place means really taking an honest inventory, looking deep within yourself, and dealing with fears and insecurities layered up over your past. Then making a resolve that you won't let yourself get back to those unhealthy places, emotionally and spiritually. Insecurity (which is birthed from fear) is always a destructive force. and insecure people do one of two things 1. They control people and situations (which is really kicking God out of the drivers seat and taking over) or 2.They give themselves completely to dominating and controlling personalities; usually of the first kind! In either case they're not being directed by God, as the insecurities (read ‘fears') cause them to take it into their own hands or hand it over to other people appearing stronger than them. Today choose and make the decision to get strong…if not for yourself, then for your fellow humans! Not in your own strength either, but in “the Lord and the power of His might”. It's gonna change the way you see, value and treat others…all of whom you are connected to! Have a brilliant day…we love you! ?
