For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Matt 6:13 (NKJV)
THE LORD’S PRAYER – PART 9
When we pray we should do so naturally, with no pomp and ceremony, just a genuine and authentic conversation between God Almighty, our Father and Saviour – and us; His creation and children. God is our Heavenly Father, personal and supernatural, and within His own name is all that we need – He is our healer, protector, our banner – He is our love and saviour, our peace and joy and so much more. His Kingdom resides within us, and He's purposed us to take it to the four corners of the earth and beyond – into every heart and soul. Bringing heaven to earth in a uniquely human and supernatural mash up. He will provide all we need – inwardly and outwardly, and will guide our steps as we walk down the road of His will and love, teaching and empowering us to be His hands and feet – to forgive and be forgiven. He delivers us from evil and enables us to stand against it. He is our hope and assurance of rescue.
So when we pray, we can be confident of all these things. That God is who He says He is and will do what He has said He will do. Easy to write, easier to say – but it takes faith and courage to live.
That's where this great declaration comes in. What better way to sign off a conversation with God than to declare His greatness and the reach of His power over lives and the world.
God is for you not against you. Whatever you’re experiencing right now He wants to be there with you, to help you and guide you, to heal you and give you peace. He is not an evil dictator out to tax your lives of all joy, happiness and hope… instead He wants to deposit those things, the hallmarks and characteristics of His supernatural and eternal Kingdom, into your hearts and homes in such a way that no matter happens to us and around us, they can be never taken, shaken or destroyed.
His glory is our hope. And He is most glorified as we journey through life by faith in Him, empowered by hope and surrounded by His love.
Today, why not spend some time praying… it just might be a game changer…
