Being a parent gives you a glimpse into the love God has for everyone of us. When my son was born an overwhelming and uncontrollable love seemed to pour from every part of me. It was like a fire hydrant of intense love was suddenly switched on. When we were expecting our second child I was nervous I wouldn't love her as much as my son…I mean how can there be any love left inside me? But unexplainably, just as much flooded from me. Any parent will attest to this truth and it provides us just a sliver of understanding on how much God loves us. You see I'm only my children's “earthly father”…my love can only ever be from an earthly perspective. It's a love that ultimately has limits and conditions BUT each of us have a “Heavenly Father” who loves with our eternal outcome in mind. His love comes from an eternal place meaning, even in it's simplest form, it will overcome and outlast what any earthly love could. In Jer 29:11 God says “I know the thoughts I have toward you…to give you a future and hope”. If your understanding of God comes from earthly love (conditional, finite, imperfect and temporal) you'll never live from the full potential He has planned for you! See it's an unlimited love proven by the sacrifice of Jesus…His son…and God thought of you when He paid that price. Live in the fulness of it today and watch your potential unfold. You are actually worth it…in God's eyes! He loves you…
